Garden Vegetable Soup(v)
All our soups are made from locally sourced fresh produce or vegetables from our garden.

Mustard-Dill Pancakes with Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraiche
Here's a modern spin on blini, the classic buckwheat pancakes. Topping them with smoked salmon is a delightful way to gild the lily.

Home-made Fishcakes
Steaks of salmon, halibut, haddock and other “meaty” fish poached in stock with a little wine and herbs, then flaked and mixed with lemon, green onions,, coated with breadcrumbs and lightly fried. Served with home-made tartar sauce.

Chicken-Liver Crostini
Spicy red pepper flakes and salty capers cut through the richness of this delicious antipasto..

Grilled Potato and Summer Squash Salad with Marjoram-Lemon Vinaigrette (v)
So very good -- more than the sum of its parts. There's something very nice about the contrasting textures of the potatoes and squash, and the way the lemon dressing sets them off.

Summer Garden Salad with Chili-Garlic Shrimp
One of our favourites, we can't get enough of this. Asian but not too exotic, uses fresh ingredients in abundance from our gardens.



Then the Main Event...


All of our main courses are served with a selection of fresh vegetables.

Italian-Style Baked Haddock
A fillet of haddock served with a pepper, tomato and basil sauce with a little Parmigiano on top

Rack of Lamb with Garlic and Fresh Herbs(add £2.00)
Herb and bread crumb coatings are a classic on best end of lamb, but leaving out the crumbs lightens the dish and the juicy chops taste more summery as a result.

Thai Herb Grilled Chicken Breast
Skinless boneless chicken breast marinated in fresh herbs (mint, coriander, basil) soy sauce and nampla and then grilled up smoky and moist.

Pasta Primavera (v)
This is a dish for fresh vegetable lovers. Wonderful with fresh produce, including English peas, from the garden. Lemon zest and pine nuts bring out all the flavours.

Salmon with Snap Peas, Yellow Peoppers, and Dill-Pistachio Pistou
Grilled salmon fillet with grilled vegetables. The chunky pistou with full pistachio flavour adds depth.

Spicy Barbequed Rib-Eye Steaks(add £2.00)
We marinate the 10 oz rib-eyes with a spicy rub which brings out the flavour of these extra mature steaks.

Twice Baked Gruyere Cheese Souffles with Salad (v)
Flavoured with mustard and fresh thyme, it’s a lovely light main course.



And Finally...


Mixed Berry Brown Sugar Pavlova
By its very nature, a Pavlova is a little wild—as proved by these two tiers of airy meringue, which crack and crumble to reveal marshmallowy interiors while the berries' juices puddle all over drifts of whipped cream.

Banana Split
Three scoops of ice cream in a banana boat with whipped cream, nuts, and chocolate and strawberry sauces.

Fresh Fruit Salad
Fresh fruit in season served with ice cream, custard or cream.

Strawberry Shortcake
A light sponge stuffed with fresh whipped cream and strawberries from our gardens.
